At the Humber Arboretum, we believe that people of all ages, incomes, backgrounds, and abilities should have the opportunity to connect with nature. Existing as a unique tri-partnership between Humber Polytechnic, the City of Toronto, and the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, the Humber Arboretum provides 100 hectares of public gardens and nature trails behind Humber Polytechnic North Campus and is always free to visit. Additional community programming such as day camps, field trips, walks, and workshops are offered by our nature education team out of the Centre for Urban Ecology. What is Nature for All? The Humber Arboretum uses our Nature for All fund to create nature connection opportunities for community members of all ages. In the past, this has included: • Working with community partners to provide a free week of Nature Camp to children who would otherwise be unable to attend • Subsidizing classroom field trips, customized based on the school's needs • Offering free themed workshops and activities for families and adults, including arts-based offerings and customized programs for groups with different needs and backgrounds How will my donation help? By building up the general Nature for All fund, the Humber Arboretum will have the ability to use the money on an as-needed basis, with the flexibility to develop and offer needs-based opportunities throughout the year. And remember, small donations can add up to big impact! Here are just some of the ways your donation could be used and combined with the donations of others: • $35 can reduce the cost of a classroom's curriculum–connected field trip by $1 per student • $50 can buy supplies for a free community workshop • $75 can cover one day of fun and discovery for one child at Nature Camp • $150 can cover the honorarium of a guest workshop facilitator • $250 can buy a new set of pond nets or other equipment to be used in a variety of programs • $385 can cover a full week of Nature Camp for one child • $550 can cover a field trip for an entire class of 30 students • $1000 can cover a full day of customized programming plus bussing for a community group who otherwise would not be able to access the space If you've enjoyed Arboretum programming in the past and wish more people had those kinds of opportunities to engage with the natural world, make your donation today. Every contribution helps!

This fall, we've welcomed over 500 students from local schools to the Arboretum for nature education programs! Your support makes these programs possible. We're also working on new accessible pathways so that everyone can enjoy our beautiful natural spaces. Thank you for helping us connect people with nature!
